Came here for dinner and had a great experience overall. The food was flavorful and well presented. I love that they have many sharing options which gave me and my partner the opportunity to try lots of different dishes. We tried the salmon crudo, candied pork belly, ravioli, and market fish. I got the butter tart for dessert and loved it! The tart is made in house. The ice cream that came with it tasted great and was refreshing. There are different ice cream flavors each day and mine happened to be lemon. The waitress was super nice and attentive. She always came back to our table to check in on us, making sure everything tasted great. I found it interesting how the kitchen was set up as there is a huge mirror above it allowing you to see how the chefs were making your food. Parking can be a hassle as it is downtown Calgary.
Klein/Harris is a gem of a spot, especially for happy hour! I recently visited and left thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious across the board, though I will say my vegetables could have been cooked a bit more to my liking—this was my only critique in an otherwise stellar meal. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, a testament to the kitchen's skill and attention to detail. The drinks were equally impressive, each one a work of art both in appearance and taste. The bar clearly knows what they're doing, and I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality offered. What truly stood out, though, was the service. Our server was prompt, efficient, and incredibly sweet, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between modern and antique, with sleek furniture and lighting that complement the historic charm of the space. Overall, Klein/Harris is a must-visit. Whether you're there for happy hour or a full meal, you won't regret it. I’ll definitely be returning!
First time here for a friend’s birthday and had no idea this place existed! The menu was different from what we’re used to, but we gave it a shot. My husband and I shared the crusted Boursin cheese—amazing (8.5/10). He got the butter-leaf wraps, and while they had to swap the spicy braised pork for chicken, it was still delicious (9/10). I had the candied pork belly, and wow—easily the star of the night (10/10). The presentation and flavors were incredible. Definitely coming back to try more! Wish I took more photos but our food didn’t last very long on the table!
Our first time here. I'd give 10 in all categories if I could. Had delicious mains: steak and the pork cooked to perfection everything on the plates... vegetables, sauce all had great flavor. The desserts were a perfect ending to dinner. Excellent service and chatted with Christina the General Managing partner. Loved watching the service from our table. We will definitely be back. Flavor of food was spot on. Mai Tai was well made. Beautiful plating. Only draw back is downtown parking. We will be back for next special occasion!
Great food and our server was very knowledgeable and knew everything about the menu ! Her name escapes me (apologies) but I hope we get her again next time we dine in. The carpaccio and the chicken was cooked great (as much as carpaccio can be cooked). Their wine selection was also very good and I love the open concept kitchen !!
The one punch lunch is a delicious and filling meal! The mocktail was refreshing and the mini butter tarts were a really nice cap off. For a first time diner, I will be back!
10/10. My mother had purchased myself and my boyfriend a giftcard to this restaurant to enjoy an evening here before an event at the theatre. Upon arrival, we were seated and the owner had came over and introduced herself - due to the conversing my mother had with her (not mentioning her name, just for her privacy). However, this I found to be the sweetest gesture. She walked us through the menu... she was amazing. The food was incredible, open concept kitchen - you can see how they cook their meals. Our server was excellent. Will 100% be returning here. I hope this place thrives and I really do recommend this place - the type of food falls moreso on the seafood scale for those wondering! great place and can't wait to go back!
Had dinner here before our evening show at Theatre Calgary. Cocktail drinks and food is very good here. The Market Fish was delicious and reasonably priced. Duck breast was also good. Staff is really friendly and nice interior design made a very pleasant evening for us. We’ll go back for sure!
